Good morning. 🐎🐎🐎

26 September 2024

I haven’t written about aging in a while. I’m certainly no expert on the subject, but I do have some experience. When we are young, we don’t really realize that our youth won’t last forever. We eventually get old. At least as we are aging it seems that way, but once we are there in’s as if it happens suddenly. In American society we can watch the transition on the television as the celebrities of our youth grapple with the aging problem in an effort to stay relevant. It is an uphill battle for certain, one that they are bound to lose. They will mostly disappear from the public eye, just like the rest of us.

Hmmm … I need to go back to sleep. 💤

Recently, I have been really grappling with my mortality and what I want to do and can stoll hope to do in my remaining time.

From the moment we are born, our days are numbered. I find that when we are older, as in elderly, the fear of death recedes quite a bit. We realize that we really do not want to live forever. What’s to fear, absolutely everybody’s life ends sooner or later. But since we are here now, we want to entertain ourselves. The key, I think, is to develop a new interest, a hobby, something that you can sink your head into. Mine is photography and birds, things I didn’t do until I retired, now they keep me so busy that I struggle to find time to keep up with my chores around the house.
