Cave crawling is akin to mountaineering, in which it shares a lot of techniques. Except with a cave you don’t exactly know what is after the odd opening. Ive known some of these people and they are unique. I saw reports that this cave had long vertices, so they had some effort getting him out of there on a stretcher.

Why is it that the only insults most men can think of are all insulting or being compared to a woman? It’s not 1880 anymore.

I hate the political angle much more - what does Erdogan have to do with this and why does he need to be mentioned in a caving incident?

Can’t people just stop inserting their stupid politics into every god damn thread?

“Man drowned in Mississippi” - Well thanks Biden! hurhurhur

You’re bringing your baggage about gender and men and women to a joke about someone’s asscrack being deep as a cave which has no relation to a specific gender at all. Maybe it’s fat shaming if anything. Grow up. This way you won’t even make it to 30 before going to the Koo koo house.

Wow, misogynist, sexist, and ableist, you sure won the lottery of likable traits.

Now you’re just listing big words you currently apply to stuff, dummy. You’re dumb. I’m wasting my time here

Those are big words? Where are you from? Did you receive any education or picked up a book at all in the last 5 years?

In case you don’t know what a book is, they are not used for fire kindling like DeSantis would have you believe.

Yeah this is more along the lines of “researcher working with multinational team falls ill in remote cave” more than “dumb american does dumb thing and needs rescue”. Man started throwing up blood and fell into a 3 day semiconciousness at which point he needed rescue.

“Dumb American Does Dumb Thing In Dumb Cave, Needs Taxpayer Funded Rescue”

if I hadn’t accidentally seen a news segment with him I’d be on the same page. The headlines never point out the work he was doing.

He was doing research work and he wasn’t stuck because of carelessness, he was stuck because he unfortunately got sick during the expedition.
