I learned about encryption last year and presently, any files on my computer that are even remotely sensitive are encrypted and backed up on 4 separate external HDDs, I can say I am definitely covered when it comes to banking info, family pictures, personal info etc. If my PC was stolen right now I would have no worries about my data being accessed. If it’s not in the encrypted drive it isn’t important.
That does not include my browser data however, I know this is stored on my hard drive but I cannot find anyway to protect it looking online that doesn’t include either not having browser data or using FDE however there are warnings FDE comes with a higher risk of failure and that partitions are better suited for amateurs like myself which I currently use.
I am also not even sure that clearing my browser data removes the information from my hard drive.
I guess this is the next step for my privacy journey, what do you guys do to protect your browser information? I currently use Windows 10 as my OS.
