New: A #Texas Woman Died After the Hospital Said It Would be a “Crime” to Intervene in Her Miscarriage
Josseli Barnica is one of at least two pregnant Texas women who died after doctors delayed emergency care.
She’d told her husband that the medical team said it couldn’t act until the fetal heartbeat stopped.

DisgustingThere are so many ways Texas is wrong here, that it’s hard to fathom. As with Trump’s constant drumbeat of lies, that’s the point. It makes it hard to appreciate what’s happening, to call it wrong, and to do something about it.
Doctors are wrong, they know they’re wrong, to say they cannot intervene to save a pregnant woman’s life until the fetal heartbeat stops. That’s tantamount to murder.

This is negligent homicide. The mother’s life should always always always be the priority over a fetus. It’s that simple. Anything else is homicidal religious nutfuckery. This idiocy must stop!@[email protected]
Abortion ban working exactly as intended, making women scared, vulnerable, and ultimately, dead.@[email protected] State sanctioned femicide.
More women dead because of Trump’s and reactionary forced-birthers’ draconian abortion bans.
Vote for freedom and life.
Vote for Harris-Walz.

@[email protected] correct the use of words, please, this is clearly femicide.
@[email protected] The woman did not “died” it was murdered because of the state laws promoted by religious lunatics

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest “our responsibility is to be in compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations” says they have no responsibility to their patients.@[email protected] This completely preventable death is on #WeirdDonOLD, his #CreepyVP and #fLyinTed. Texas, it is time to hold all of them accountable for this and other needless deaths.
Infuriating.
Some medical org has to take a stand. They are all gutless. I know they could lose licenses, could be prosecuted. Do they honestly think they would not have hoards of attorneys available gratis? It would be the Scopes monkey trial.
They could be heroes. They should be charged with murder for not treating her. Unfortunately no other state has standing to do that and Texas clearly won’t.
Maybe some wrongful death suits could get their attention.@[email protected] The SCOTUS members, as well as state government officials and thrir families, who inflicted this upon other families better hide behind their security guards. I can easily see the remaining other family members taking justice into their own hands. And, if I was in a jury, I would not convict them. These officials are the real murderers. So, if something bad happens to them, there will be no tears from me…

@[email protected] When misogynistic politicians act as doctors, this is what happens.
