Hi! I wanna move a .html static wordpress backed-up website to a subdomain related to a domain where I will create a new wordpress website, a new theme, same info’s.

Questions: What is the difference between X.domainname.domain and domainname.domain/X

BECAUSE:

I have an issue: I created subdomain X.domainname.domain and the index.html is visible only on domainname.domain/X and not in X.domainname.domain as a subdomain related to domainname.domain

I think it’s not a DNS problem because others subdomains on other cPanels are working fine.

The subdomain X goes on browser to: /cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi
