I am building a new gaming PC AM5 build with a Ryzen 9800x3D

I’ve heard it might make sense to wait for the next gen GPU’s to drop before investing in a GPU for the build. What is a cheap placeholder GPU in the $300 CAD range give or take a bit that I can pick up to get the PC up and running.
