I’m a developer. At work I’m “forced” to use macOS. At home I have a PC, quite powerful, that is never used because I’m always at the macOS. But, I’m getting tired of ads and the constant push to use AI on macOS and Windows. I’ve installed Gnome and KDE on my computer, but I alway feel that the GUI is so behind macOS and Windows. On the terminal side, there is absolutely nothing compared with Linux, so much better. But when I’m at the GUI part, it’s so many problems like no HDR, blurry fonts on HIDPI monitors, inconsistent apps that work on one distro but not on another, etc…

Is this just a personal impression or do you feel the same? I’m really trying to get out of the Apple walled garden.
