Excellent article. It does a great job of illuminating the actual political policies held by those who are truly running the Trump campaign. They’re really looking to make America into a more isolationist country, reducing immigration (particularly along our southern border), cutting America’s ties to our allies in Europe, and reducing trade with China (while probably doing less to combat Chinese expansionism). They also want to let the free market determine the fate of our planet and are rooting for those who want to continue the practices we know are contributing to climate change.
For not being an explicitly Libertarian group, there’s a lot for Libertarians to salivate over here.
What the article unfortunately doesn’t comment on that much is the extent to which this group is working to push the ideological objectives of the Christian Right. We’ve heard plenty of bullshit from Trump himself about this, but the article doesn’t seem to indicate that this group prepping for him to win in 2024 is doing much on a policy level to further those objectives. Yes, they’re all undoubtedly “anti-woke,” but what will that mean in terms of actual policies they push? I would have liked to learn more about that.
