I’m trying to connect my router to my pc using ethernet but my router is on the other side of the room from where my desk is, tried giving a suggestion to my family if I could potentially use Cable Clips such as the one shown here but they’re against it purely because A. they think it looks tacky and B. they don’t want it to ruin the wall… Even trying to just run along the floor they seem to be against that and just thought I should use a Wi-Fi extender and connect the ethernet using that (which to be honest I was mostly against that anyway) as I’d potentially get decreased speeds.

Any potential suggestions I could try out besides just moving the router itself or drilling inside the wall?
