I think bb.lemmy.zip is a good subdomain since it helps convey that it’s using a bb type front-end.
Apparently since the 0.18* updates its no longer compatible: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmyBB/issues/99
But it should be fine to install once it has been updated
