Just got my used ID.3 yesterday, and I can’t connect it to the app.

It says there’s already a primary user, and I need to reset the infotainment system to factory default. I tried that 50 times, but it always fails. It resets all the settings, but ends with an error.

The Users menu is also missing from the infotainment system.

The car is on firmware 2.4 (2.3 - 912).

Any ideas how fix this ?

Will it work when the car gets updated to 3.2 next month ?

    I think for this you should use the app on the phone and contact VW through the app (person icon > contact & feedback > Call Customer Care. Else have your dealer set it up - that’s something they should have done already if you bought it through one.

      I didn’t buy it from a VW dealer, but it did visit a VW shop, and they couldn’t figure out why it didn’t work. In the app, the contact number is for another country, and I’m not very good with foreign languages.

      So, i wrote an email to VW, asking them to delete the previous primary user, and they just did it. No proof of ownership. I’m now connected to the app 😜
