Several board members questioned Delgado’s decision to retire abruptly, but the debates were shot down by Ebert.

“It’s none of our roles to do the interviews. It’s not our role to determine the questions. It’s our role to determine whether or not this resume and this contract that is before us is approvable or not,” board attorney Teddy Parker said during the meeting. “Everything else, you’re second-guessing your superintendent.”

I don’t really understand the role the board plays here but this sounds stupid. This makes it alive like their only purpose is to make sure the candidate meets the requirements and nothing else matters. What exactly is the point of that since someone else is obviously doing the heavy lifting? Well, hopefully anyway. Making sure candidates have the right qualifications is great, but you don’t need a whole board for that.

Oh wow the New York Post is attacking a Latina for getting a promotion. She must have really earned the promotion.

They school knew of the bullying and elevated risk and a kid was beaten to death. The person in charge should not be allowed to be in charge of anything.
