just one anecdote, but I’m solidly right handed and I’m quite comfortable fretting with my left hand. It’s a challenge to learn guitar regardless of which hand. But I have absolutely nothing against folks making and playing left-handed instruments either, folks should go with what they want
Yeah left-handed stringed instruments are actually quite rare, and are only used when you can’t use a right-handed one due to disability.
You’re using both hands to do different but coordinated movements, so being left- or right-handed doesn’t make that big a difference.
I’m right handed and play the guitar left handed…
Guitar makes a lot of sense to me either way. The really technical part is up on the frets.

I’m the opposite. Legato stuff is much easier.
