It’s been almost two and a half years since I’ve had a drink. Still bartending though and feeling very burnt out. I really want to make a career change, but I’m feeling like I don’t have many skills or a degree and honestly I just don’t find any jobs appealing. Depression is hitting kind of hard today. No desire to drink though, so that’s a win I guess.
That’s awesome! When I quit drinking I had lots of problems, and it took a few years until I really sorted them out. But being sober gave me the time and strength to deal with them, to work on finding solutions and improving my life. I hope that you too can find a way to improve your situation.
I’m glad to hear that. I quit as of 6 months ago, and it feels like I still have so many problems in life. I guess I just have to be patient.
Patience and continuous work helped me.
