  • Ich habe mal ein Jahr lang berufsbedingt in Leinfelden-Echterdingen (bei Stuttgart, für alle Unwissenden) gelebt. Ich kann es bis heute nicht in Worte fassen, aber ich fand es dort schrecklich. Spießig, teuer, besserwisserisch, erzwungen. Als ob sie alle der Nabel der Welt wären. Und schlimmer noch als die Leute die dort leben waren nur die Leute die bei Mercedes arbeiten - mit denen ich hauptsächlich zu tun hatte, da ich selbst auch da war. Nochmal alles auf 130% gedreht.

    Schön ist es da, aber absolut nicht meine Menschen.




  • It’s not just. He should be locked up for his crimes. If people would want him released, they’d have to vote for a candidate who promises to do that. Just being a promising candidate isn’t a reason not to be prosecuted. There is simply no law for that.

    The justice system is being intimidated by an angry mob into waiting out the situation. This is against everything what the justice system is supposed to do.

    It’s not the will of “the people”, it’s the will of a minority. He HAS been voted out. Courts should indeed be more powerful than that.

    No surprise? People have nuanced views, different opinions, from left to center to right, even hardcore racist ones… and vote Democrats. Just as you could find conservatives who do not agree with the statement.

    The statement is so vague and loaded and can be agreed or disagreed with from all kinds of people.

    Edit: And yes it’s quite ironic(?) that so many people agree with this - in a country where people unironically track that they’re 12% German, or 20% Irish, or whatever.
