  • That turtles game wasnt even that fun there were better turtles games to play on the nes and snes

Battletoads on the other hand was quite fun but then that jump on the speeder level always made it near impossible. So you were always discouraged that you would get stuck on that level. Or like one time I made the jump but then had to go and my parents turned it off…like battletoads was not that difficult if you made that jump but man was it hard to.

  • When I was in college I had a part time job as a tutor for the accounting classes that I had already completed. My college also offered this late night courses for older students typically people in their mid 30s who were trying to get a degree while working.

I got asked to help a 35 year old single mom one semester who was bombing accounting 101.

One night I’m trying to explain to her for like the 4th time how FICA taxes get entered on both sides of a journal entry and she blurts out “I want to hump you so bad” lol

  • As an accountant and finance person I promise you “business major” and c-suite are not one in the same here…most of us are never allowed to rise that high due to nepotism and we’re just chugging along trying to make a living the same as the devs. I’d love to work for a company where the emphasis wasn’t on this short term ensuitication BS. It isn’t like entry and mid level accounting and finance folks are the ones pushing for this most of this nonsense. We just get dictated all the bs from the top and report/forecast the numbers.

  • I loved a lot of ps1 era rpgs

One that always stuck with me was Legend of Legaia

Never met anyone who played it and the sequel on ps2 was terrible.

Some unique things I never saw in a turn based rpg again:

    1. Armor you could buy and equip per slot and you were able to mix and match… This meant you could look really stupid when farming money for different sets but it was exciting to get a new item and equip it and see

    2. This was a turn based rpg but had some inspiration from arcade fighter games of the time… You would enter your attacks like up down left right x y z and then say ready and your character would do a combo… You could randomly enter combos and learn new specials and finishes etc… Also a lot of ways to learn them through exploration and such

Not unique the game has a ton of fun side quests, games and secrets as well…
