Inching ever closer at snails pace to a hands off (ish) summer.

Just spoke to mum 2 days after her fall. Turns out she hit her head first and didn’t say that. now vision is blurred in her only good eye. I suspect a bit of delayed concussion. Her hubby is a doc so she’s in good hands but history constantly reminds me that that gen is stoic AF.

To the moth that landed on my midnight snack anti-hangover Vegemite toast when i turned my back putting butter away that was a really bad idea. I didn’t eat you but that’s surely going to hurt tm.

I’ve found her a sport future drinking habit.

At $60 a kg it’s still superior although I have beige spot for rainbow trout or hammer head.

Congrats though it’s a weird feeling when you’ve done it but you did it!

Thank you. I think I’m just going to try and reduce tripping hazards when I see them and work out how to do that conversation.

Oh jeez. Just spoke to (78yo) mum and she had another fall. Last one was 2 weeks ago going down 2 stairs. She’s just not stable on her feet and her vision is poor. Main thing I’m worried about are hip and head injuries.

I’m going to have to convince her to wear a fall detection device which will be a difficult convo. I succeeded convincing her to give up driving (when I’m looking) but it just feels like I’m robbing independence / making her feel old.

That’s a $47k fine right there or up to 2 years in the slammer :(

Still thinking about that option. Place backs on to a lot of uninhabited empty space so no one would be at risk.
