Nothing one way or another. He’d definitely help with our reputation a bit, recruits well, and has shown he’s good offensively. He’d get a good portion of control if he has us contending for conference championships somewhat steadily, which given the current B12, we absolutely should be, if not every few years at least. Problem is, idk if we can afford him. He’s 2.5x as expensive as Neal, at a university so cash strapped they’ve cut education departments and are still heavily struggling. I’d be surprised if they allow a leash that long. His staff will be more expensive, he’ll likely have minimum facilities expectations. And with on field success the money would likely be there, but our problems outweigh football revenue currently.

I’d personally be tentatively excited for him, as he’s just Dana 2.0 with some actual HC success, but I’m not super privy of all the options.

I don’t fully understand it, but they restructured it and now E don’t have a reduction clause or something. The longer we wait, the more it functionally costs to fire him. Explained here. The cost is still likely too high, which is tragic, and it’s really going to suck cause yeah, the university is kinda broke rn. We’re like…between $30-$50 million in debt. Gordon Gee ran some asinine Sunnyside revitalization project and purchased a ton of land and houses, destroyed them, and built up student housing. Now we’re expected to lose about 5k students, and one of the bigger factors in attracting students (partying, for better or worse), has been killed. We used to be the place for people to go to party and maybe learn something. Now we’re just another state school for people to maybe learn something at.

And I have 0 idea of who we’d go after. Stupid people say Jimbo (he couldn’t win with infinite budget and the best recruits, so how is he going to fare better here?). Others say Rich Rod (lightning won’t strike twice). We just got burned by a small school hire. Rumors are that we may be kicking around the Saban tree, so some of his coordinators may be in line. However, even with that, we’re a pit stop school for most coaches. With success, they’ll leave to the B10 or SEC.

If you are ever looking for more, I highly recommend the larger guilds. You may have to “shop” around, but we spend a lot of time helping people on parses, training runs, and general content questions. More often than not, I’d say people on ESO are helpful. Most still around like playing it and want to help, as opposed to people chasing scores and trying to be “the best”. I think a lot of our members joined off of zone spam and word of mouth from friends, and to a lesser extent, pug runs we’ve organized. The barrier to hard content has never been lower than it is now!

This hardly gets Neal out of the hot seat, as we still have heavy offensive woes as well, but it’s the first of many steps Neal will have to take to save his job.

It does. It’s more of a Discord than a guild at that point, as the guild roster is more used for fills for runs in game, but that’s kind of the nature of it. But we probably have ~100+ active members in chat, we do trial races where teams race for score in a 2 hour window on a trial; we’ve (I’ve) done (tried to do) PvP nights during midyear to get people some AP and stones, but they aren’t too popular. We up until the last maybe 9 months did somewhat regular training trial runs where we’d take 4-5 newer players through content to help them learn a role without fear of messing up a clear. It’s a decent bit of effort, but the pay off is nice.

Outside of that, we have a Fantasy Football league, we do Game Night every now and then where we play party games like Among Us, Party Animals, Golf With Friends, etc just to change it up.

As many others have said, you don’t. That may be part of the devisive-ness experienced here currently, but when one side is stating that the military should be used on dissenters, and the other side needs slaughtered, and they’re talking about deporting detractors currently in govt, it’s addition by subtraction. Should my side win, I don’t expect any kind of persecution of people I don’t agree with. Should the other side win, they are functionally demanding it.

“You won’t have to vote anymore” is an insane statement from a democratic candidate. “We’ll fix it so good, you won’t have to vote”. And people are on the fence. It’s disgusting. Choose a fucking side and vote it.

Non-combat stuff? I guess I have (had?) a habit of sitting in zone chat and if I found anew player, I’d take the to a guild house and craft them some gear, run them through a dungeon or two, just to help them learn some of the game. Otherwise, I also stack my survey maps and do them all at once. My current stash is was about 700, I’m through about half of it. I’m also tracking the total mats I get and the gold upgrade mats just to see. It’s not entirely accurate, as I’m still picking up stuff as I play, but I figure it’s close enough. I also help run a ~1k player guild/discord on Xbox NA but that’s only tangentially related to gameplay lol.

I got a Nothing Phone 2 after two 1+ phones (5t and then an 8 Pro, and didn’t like where the OS was going). I love it. It’s been awesome, maybe 7 months with it?
