I thought this was newsworthy mostly because someone used the sentence “Just say no to drugs.” unironically and as a serious argument in favor of banning something in the year 2023.

My main motivation (other than having already created this and the MO subs over at lemmy.ml and was just copying them here) was that the guy who created it has proclaimed multiple times that he only moved to STL a few years ago, and I don’t see why that qualifies him to run our community. I was born and raised here.

He also spelled it out “Saint Louis” in the title, and appears to use his real picture as his profile pic. I mean seriously, who does either of those things? (Joking, but kind of not?)

Also I intend on being more active than posting a thread like “Promote your favorite restaurant” every few days.
