  • Fair enough. Though in 50 years of watching this I don’t think I’ve ever seen it used that way? Definitionally. In a Democratic primary for the Democratic party. Everyone is blue no matter who. Now the establishment definitely loathes being challenged. Which is all more reason to do it.

Blue no matter who generally only means anything in the general. All the better now that actual people can use it against the party establishment for once. And I would argue that any member of the establishment or New York Democratic party leadership who would vote for anyone other than the parties candidate, mondami. Should be ousted from leadership. Any leadership that doesn’t have the courage of conviction for the Party’s candidate. Certainly doesn’t represent that party.

  • Is it almost exclusively applied to establishments Dems because that’s who runs the most often? Or is there some real different dichotomy? Don’t get me wrong Cuomo can go fuck himself with a sideways baseball bat. Wanting to have it both ways he’s going to fight for the worst possible outcome.

Plenty of genuine people got a lot of venom and vitrial in 2024 calling for solidarity against the fascists. And still do. From many of the people posting lower down below this article. Though not OP. I don’t recall them being part of that group. But blue no matter who cuts both ways. And this time Como ain’t the blue candidate and should really sit the fuck out and take the clue. This time people will actually be able to vote blue no matter who and hopefully feel good about it for once. Since it isn’t Como or Adams.

  • Blue no matter who, in this case would mean Mamdami. He is the Democratic primary winner. So yes. I’m pretty sure almost all of them would be. What did you think blue no matter who meant? It’s all about keeping someone even worse like a republican from winning the seat.

I can’t speak for new york, but where I am. Third parties are non-existent realistically. I’m sure New York City in particular has a heavy Democratic turnout. Though maybe they actually have some viable third parties. But in this case all these corrupt ghouls aligning against mamdani are doing their best to split the vote for the blue so the Republican can win. I think Democrats would be wise in this instance to vote blue no matter who. Though especially because it’s mamdani this time. That’s all blue no matter who really meant. Standing in solidarity against the fascist. If we had done it in 2024 we would be in a much better position now.

  • Hassan has had some particularly shit takes himself. Though honestly I’m not aware of a political YouTuber that hasn’t. That said if I stumbled into a disagreement between Hassan and asmon accidentally. It doesn’t matter what day or what topic it is. I would side with Hassan long before asmon.

Asmon is the definition of a disgusting, unkempt ignorant incel armchair quarterback. Despite where Hassan and I might sometimes disagree. He is actually educated. Has some idea of what he’s talking about. And is generally out there doing the right thing. So of course it makes a lot of sense that so many people would latch on to a stupid dumbass speaking with confidence over someone who actually knows what they’re talking about. That is after all how Trump got where he is.
