Well, 21 months from January puts this at the 6th of September, 2025. Be there or be square.

There was a strategy to it! Instead of dropping coin down every last blade, little kid me aligned the machine a particular way so the coin would drop all the way down to the second to last blade. Then I would nudge the coin to the edge, then twist and suddenly stop to give it enough force to not just fall straight down, but also not enough to fling it past the final blade. I’d say I won around half the time, and intentionally only did it once every so often to not arise suspicion you could game it well. I was sad when my 25 cent burritos were taken away for good after this machine left, ah well.

I dunno about iphone apps, but if you want to browse on iphone for whatever reason, you could try Voyager! It’s available as a standalone app on android (you can get it through F-Droid if you’re keen on that) but it’s also a web app which you can use on any device. It’s based on Appolo, which you might be familiar with as an iphone user if you ever used third party apps for Reddit back in the day. https://wefwef.app/

Glad my translation of the window was on point then! This was made in Krita, a FOSS art program. I actually made it under a size and color constriction to be recreated as a Mario Maker 2 comment, which I ended up doing a week later.

Tails is basically the reason I found out I wanted to be a fox when I was like 7, so he’s had an influence on my identity for sure. Without the full body and no color to go on, he does look a lot like him.

Nothing ever has been or ever will be perfect. Maybe it seems odd to feel pride for ya, I dunno, but feeling some accomplishment for creating a short story and sharing it with the world is a good thing! I enjoyed my time with your comic, it’s a great parallel to hopelessness in the face of all those who wish to oppress us, and inaction only benifiting the oppressors. Change feels so slow when you’re living in it, compared to the sanitized footnotes of history. Perhaps it’s easy to feel like it’s the worst its ever been, irredeemable, or insurmountable, but that stems from only knowing our own prespective. If we do what we can, when we can, where we can control, things do improve. Maybe not as fast as we’d like, but we can’t let perfect be the enemy of good.
