He was very happy when Lando got his first win too. Not sure what the moment last year might have been.
I’m smoking weed about it.

That’s like the most wholesome F1 thing I’ve ever seen. Ollie seems like a great guy/kid.
Red Bull instead signs Fernando Alonso and (for reasons even they can’t explain) Daniel Ricciardo. The car is undrivable. Alonso contemplates his life decisions with every miserable lap. Red Bull shitcan Danny Ric 6 races in. Having no junior drivers left to string along they are forced to sign Pastor Maldonado, who causes so many crashes we end up with Lance Stroll as WDC.
That was good for a couple laughs, thank you.
I could definitely see Max walking away from F1 for a year or two to be home with his growing family more often. The schedule in F1 is great for fans who want to watch races but otherwise sucks for most of the people who make all the events possible, drivers included.
I wonder if his recent test drive was any indication of what he might want to do in his “spare time” during any potential F1 hiatus… Fun to think about while we wait to see what happens.
Congrats on the milestone, and thank you for all you do to support Lemmy and the Fediverse.
Beautiful scenery and a cool story. Sounds like you had a great time.
Nice! Congrats on your gardening success so far!
To a certain extent I think the list of goals has sort of defaulted to development related stuff. A lot of the growth across the fediverse is being driven by whatever mass exodus is happening at any given time. There’s definitely a desire to onboard more people more organically but it’s hard when people are expecting drop in replacements for the largest social networks on the planet.
There seem to be a lot of people who are looking for easier ways to introduce people to federated social media as a whole. If you search around I’m sure you’ll find an assortment of posts outlining their ideas about what makes Lemmy/the fediverse harder to use. Maybe that’s a good place to start building a more comprehensive list of what’s needed to grow more on merit and not as a last resort.
If I’m understanding your question correctly the answer is “sort of.” The main community I know of is !fedibridge@lemmy.dbzer0.com which sees pretty regular activity but it’s more focused on promoting the fediverse rather than a checklist of goals. That’s the closest one to what you’re asking for that I’m aware of.
Hell of a race from those two to start the race.
So much beauty in one image. Well done!
What a stunner! You should be proud! Thanks for sharing. 💚
Congrats on another successful year, and thank you for all you contribute to the platform. db0 is a pillar of the Fediverse. You and your team should be proud of what you’ve cultivated. Best of luck in the years to come.
Didn’t read through the thread before commenting. Thanks for the shout-out mate!
We don’t have any specific requirements to share music on !eternalplaylist@crazypeople.online. You’re welcome to post whatever you find there.
The 'stache is actually an aero device designed by Adrian Newey. It provides just the right amount of downforce in the low speed corners.
It’s ok to like both!
