@[email protected] thanks. Though we get them here, I am yet to photograph the elusive Firecrest. Goldcrests, though not too common are easier to find…
@[email protected] if its not there it should be. 😂
@[email protected] always take a Robin photo… It’s in the rules… 😂
@[email protected] thanks. Yep, this is my fave from today…
@[email protected] That’s how it goes most of the time. This is the 2nd time in 2 years I’ve actually managed a half decent photo of one, usually I am the same as you. A flashing blue streak of colour in the far off background,
@[email protected] Thanks Jane. I watched this beast catch 3 fish in the space of 5 mins. Pretty efficient bird.
@[email protected] no, I don’t think so. I’d be more like a dodo or other flightless bird thus rendering wings useless.
@[email protected] yeah, the Ibis is not a big bird at all. Making in flight shots quite a nice challenge.
@ChadMeyer 😂 here’s another for you…
@[email protected] No such problems here, there must have been about 8 of them, mainly wading this afternoon
@[email protected] yeah, a couple of lapwings seemed to be having a beef with the Ibis shortly before the inflight entertainment occured

@[email protected] 😂 yeah, our Ibis has remained which is good. Seems pretty happy here at Summer Leys albeit alone.
I have a few deposit shots over the years. If you take birds in flight, you are gonna get a few shots of this nature
@[email protected] yep, it was a windy day for sure.
@[email protected] yeah, lack of preparedness. Had been in dark woods taking birds on branches at 1/125. Had left it that way.
@[email protected] more a series of squeeks than song 😂
@[email protected] Yeah, until a few years ago, I’d never even seen one, but now I hear them nearly everywhere I go and sometimes spot them too. Even though they are in groups, they can be hard to spot as they are constantly on the move,
@[email protected] that’s exactly like me. Dodgy macro and some basic landscapes for a few years… I do want to try street at some point in the future…
@[email protected] ha ha.
