Hah! What an idiot.
Hah! What an idiot.
I thought remake’s combat system was great and it was my game of the year when I came out. FF16 was also great for me, but it was never going to make everyone happy, it had far too many issues and was a focused action game.
Ff7 rebirth though- holy shit, it was just too fucking long. Too exhausting to play. So much shit to do it was overwhelming and SO, SO much filler. So many terrible, stupid story decisions undercutting emotional moments and jumping the shark on itself. I went from loving it because it was more remake to hating it because of many of the changes and the writing. Just…exhausting.
Square just seem like they are missing hard because FF16 was too focused, and FFRebirth is too big and up it’s own ass.
Tbh, I was part of a very LGBTQA+ group of people, but I was one of the very few just straight people. I made out with a lot of dudes and that was enough for me to tell that I wasn’t into it. Didn’t feel that same heart-thumping feeling that I feel with a person of the opposite sex.
I do still kind of wish I was bi just to see what it’s like. But I’m straighter than an arrow
Outdoor cats decimate bird populations. Letting your cat out is terrible for your local ecosystem. Seeing this stuff really frustrates me.
I do love last epoch a lot. It’s uniquely fun just because it’s doable just to make builds yourself and find enjoyable and good synergies and take those builds all the way to endgame.
Slightly off-topic: might be alone in this, but I actually really enjoyed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. It’s nice, self-contained, has some fun action, some cool scenes, and it turned me on to Jake Gyllenhaal and I’ve liked his work ever since. It’s Generic and schlocky but it’s better than the usual videogame movie garbo.
It fits nicely into that B-movie slot IMO.
Yeah I feel like rings of power is just a hatewagon everywhere. I’ve been really impressed with the sets and costumes in both seasons. They are a beautiful treat. And while I’m not terribly interested in the characters or story it’s good watching just for that.
Starfield was garbage IMO. I didn’t even pay for it and wanted my money back in less than 3 hours.
But I AM still hopeful for Elder Scrolls 6. The weakness of Starfield is exploration is barely a thing; incredibly boring procedural generation is the cause. There is little to no value getting excited exploring the world and the incredible world of Skyrim is what makes it good.
I seriously doubt Bethesda is dumb enough to try procedural generation with the next elder scrolls game, and if they are then it will be dead in the water just by association. But a game similar to Skyrim will likely still find a stronger audience, even if just for the return to form.
Came into this thread just to make sure it was answered with Titanfall 2. Thank you!
Nice! Yeah I will do my own research when/if I decide to play them again on deck. Thank you for the heads up.
Is it pretty feasible to install kotor 2 restored content mod? I vaguely remember it being available on steam workshop.
Oh true. My bad, was thinking in context of old shows and forgot the topic.
For my kids cartoon, would probably be Static Shock. The animation is way tougher than I remember, but it was still really fun!
I’ve been watching Hercules: The Legendary journeys from the 90s, and I watched them a ton as a kid, too. Love most episodes still even tho Kevin Sorbo is now a shitmonkey. They honestly had really positive messages, and it’s just campy enough for the costumes and ancient animation to still be fun.
Yeah there are artistic scenes in samurai Jack that wow me even all this time later. Great show.
Yeah this is all I want. I can barely afford to eat normally right now, if this got priced reasonably I’d be all over it.
Personally, I felt like he was a more “normally” designed souls boss fight in a game that feels FAR better fighting human enemies. Once you get parry mechanics down you can kinda cruise through most of sekiro, but with demon of hatred he involves WAY more dodging and jumping in a game where those just don’t feel as good. Combine that with a huge healthbar, 3 phases essentially, and it was kind of exhausting to play compared to other bosses. It turned into a lot more trial and error like a normal souls boss, where you kinda just bash your head against them until you learn all the moves.
Did I hate it? No. But I have no desire to fight it again. It was fun as a 1 off fight, whereas I would happily fight most of the major bosses in sekiro again no problem. It’s a fun change of pace (and I like how powerful some of your gadgets like the umbrella can be in that fight) but it’s not something I’d want to do again.
Anything above basic content in 14 (which is lowest common denominator content) can honestly be quite challenging, and savage and ultimate content is very very difficult content overall. It’s all about how much time and effort you’re willing to invest, the first 70 levels of content is pretty braindead so anyone can beat it.
Curious if elder scrolls online is similar because I honestly don’t know, haven’t played it in a decade.
I hope this doesn’t feel as “required” as tenderizing did in iceborne. It always felt like a chore to tenderize where I was going to hit just to get good hitzones. Hopefully this is the reverse where you naturally generate weak points then have the option to exploit them, making it less a thing you HAVE to do just to play the game normally, and more an additional bonus thing skilled hunters can exploit.
Thank you so much for the detailed guide. Did this expedition on a whim (got a steam deck and was trying games) and I think I’m at dropzone 3 or so. I haven’t touched underwater since NMS release, since I actually have Thalassophobia (fear of underwater stuff).
How spooky would you say NMS underwater is, and how deep is it? Because I’ve been avoiding it out of fear that I’ll just nope out immediately.
For reference I can’t go beyond the shallows in subnautica without panicking. Luckily, in NMS you can just shoot shit and its overall pretty easy so I’m less worried but trying to get a gauge on it so I don’t have a panic attack.
The reality is that it’s been 20 years since many of those “best games ever”. 20 years is a huge chunk of your working life. It’s just not realistic to keep the same people that whole time, or even a percentage of them.
People don’t want to think about the reality of it, they just want content to devour.
