  • I’ve been using PIA because they were the cheapest on a 3 year plan. It works out to around $2 a month. It’s not the best because you need to use their app or some other workaround to get port forwarding to work, but it was the cheapest last time I looked.

I use it with the binhex/qbittorrentVPN docker container on my homeserver, it automatically connects and configures the port forwarding to make uploading work, it’s a pretty complicated setup but once it’s setup it works flawlessly.

  • In the US, you don’t have to pay disability lawyers upfront. They get paid a percentage of any back pay they get you. It’s usually the smart move unless you have some undeniable physical disability. They know the right words to use to make sure you qualify.

For me it really worked out because my lawyer argued I was disabled much farther back than I thought I could. I ended up with much more back pay even though he got 30% of it.

  • I saw a video a while back where the police car had a compartment to store long guns in the back of the cruiser, conveniently marked “GUN”. It was unlocked and a woman in the back managed to slip her cuffs, open it, and fire it at the cops.

The top comment on the video said, “You have a right to a firearm, if you cannot afford one, one will be provided for you.”

  • I have it in the same areas.

I use dermarest(salysilic acid) shampoo when it’s really crusty in my scalp. It dries the scalp out a little, which can make it itchier in the short term, but it clears the plaque. I use a Neutrogena ketoconazole shampoo for prevention. If it’s really bad I shave my head and apply lotion directly to my scalp.

The rest I treat by keeping it well moisturized, especially applying immediately after showering. I used to have a prescription steroid cream, but I hate going to the doctor so I haven’t had it in a few years.

  • I have bipolar and was in a similar spot when I lost a job years ago. Started having symptoms of mania and didn’t have a script for my meds or a way to pay for them.

I went to an emergency room eventually and they were able to get me a dose of my meds immediately, a script for 7 days of meds filled for free through the hospital and got me an appointment with someone who helped me get on Medicaid and a treatment plan.

I’m not sure if you’ll get all that help where you are, but hospitals that get public funding(which is almost all of them) have to treat you if you can’t afford it. It’s in their interest to help get you on Medicaid so they can get paid.

I wish you the best, take care of yourself.

  • These posts always make me question myself because I’ve basically never worn deodorant or antiperspirant.

I’ve had jobs where you can’t be stinky(sales, office jobs, at a hospital), and nobody has ever said anything. I’ve lived with partners for 16 years, none have ever complained about my smell(besides times when anyone would smell, like after a long run on a hot day).

I’m guessing I just have lucky personal body chemistry, but I’m sure there will be some people telling themselves I’m just smelly and don’t know it.
