That’s wonderful news! I hope that you’re feeling okay otherwise and that it wasn’t a scare based on symptoms that you don’t have answers for yet.

Not a bad week so far! My dad had a pretty big surgery last week but was able to go home on Tuesday, which was a relief to all of us. Otherwise enjoying the teacher life still on Summer vacation, finished playing Life is Strange and still jamming on Diablo IV.
It may not be the laptop, but it’ll always be something else. “He got off easy!” “Wonder what strings Biden pulled to get this deal through…” “Trump would have NEVER done this for one of his kids!” Blah blah blah.
It’s always onto the next thing for them.
BREAKING: Apple is filing a legal action on the folk lore of Johnny Appleseed, requesting changes to the tale. Johnny’s name will be changed to Timmy Apple, a reference to Apple’s CEO Tim Cook. It also states that instead of planting apple trees, Timmy is distributing iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks; and rather than them being free, Apple will be charging recipients market price for each item.
-Apple, probably.
It would have to be a multi-team deal for sure. Spurs aren’t missing out on Wemby, and Charlotte would likely want to stay young instead of giving up Scoot or Miller for an overpaid Beal. That leaves Portland, no way we want Beal over whoever falls to us either.
It’s insane both that Zion is on the market at all, and that there isn’t really a good estimate on what his value is. Whatever team winds up with him gets a player who was the undisputed first pick of his draft class and had been hailed as the future of the NBA, but also an incredibly fragile player who’s playstyle requires him to be physical.
Seems like one of the biggest gamble trades in a long time.
While he’s probably right, the blackout is giving Reddit users the chance to return to old sources of news and entertainment, or encouraging them to try new communities like Lemmy. Ideally the blackouts continue, but I think the biggest threat to Reddit is a long-game when other alternatives become viable.
I have a really tough time convincing myself to play a game through emulation if I have already have access to the game in a way that I can use the original controller. But most of the time that translates to me just never playing it because I need to hook it up to a TV…and most of them I can even just play anytime, anywhere if I get over that! So I need to take my own advice and get over it so I can at least just play the damn games.
I was actually just learning about the MiSTer project, it sounds really neat. Maybe a bit prohibitively expensive as of now, but if you have the funds it sounds like the best way to go. Solves tons of the issues that I have for my retro goodies!
