What is the tax advantage of the holding LLCs? Is it some state tax thing? For US federal income tax purposes, assuming these were wholly owned, they would be disregarded entities.

Legislative heads are the speaker of the house and the senate majority leader. Kamala’s power is just to cast tie breaker votes in the senate.
While I agree that Biden effectively has highest legislative powers, it is not because of the veto power (which is subject to override by congress anyway). It is because he has de facto control over the administrative agencies, which is where most of our legislation really happens, and because he has the power to write executive orders.
I doubt you will get good advice from people in this thread, since this is a highly specialized field of law that will also differ from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. I would recommend you look into free legal aid organizations in your area, as they often having housing clinics and can provide advice on the applicable law, next steps, and legal filings.

It’s probably just hydrogen peroxide you put in to soften the wax before squeezing it out with water. But ye the squeezy bottle / syringe is the trick.
From what I recall, referring to a group of people as “you guys” is a regional thing. I remember in that NY times dialect test that it was one of the questions that nailed me. That said, if I’m referring to group solely of women, it does seem odd, so I usually use party people or peeps in this situation. Using folks or y’all would get weird looks here.
Literally lol’d reading this. And it’s also so true - before reading this comment, I thought nothing of the father’s appearance, but the more I look at it now, the crazier it becomes.
It’s over for us. One of the images has a hand that doesn’t look fucked up. Oh fuck
Damn she really ties up all loose ends
I’m sorry comrade, but it was my turn to use the toothbrush
Damn bro why you gotta shatter my illusions like that. Not only is that not a satire account, but it is a successful podcast. Buddha is right, life is suffering.
Scrolled down a bit from that tweet. Saw there was a reply guy called “Mueller, she wrote” trying to dunk on Nate, I think.
What goes through somebody’s mind to think that is anything other than a deeply embarrassing screen name to have. Unless it’s a satire account, in which case it is chef’s kiss.
As somebody who was on the subreddit then here, the subreddit was quite different.
For starters, the subreddit was about a million times more active. You could read a whole front page of new threads (sorting by hot; not new), come back an hour later, and the whole front page would turned over. That amount of content is night and day different.
With that much increased activity, there was also a significantly greater amount of people who posted there, including a lot of chuds who walked in. This presence of chud posting allowed for easy dunk for people to rally around, and I think served as a lightning rod to deflect sectarianism. It’s that combination of obviously wrong posts deflecting dunks as well a moderation policy which allowed for dissent and questioning of some mod’s orthodoxy (which is something this hexbear’s moderation policy does not allow - hence why in spicy threads you will sometimes see heavily upbeared posts deleted) that I think fostered more interesting comments.
So yeah, idk about the rest of your post, but insofar as you’re questioning the differences between the subreddit and here, I’m a bit confused. They were definitely very different places with different vibes. Maybe you prefer the vibes and smaller posting culture here - fair enough. But it was quite different, so if somebody preferred those differences then pining for the good ol’ days makes sense.
I’m not sure there’s a person who really believes both of these. I think people who believe premise one actually believe this to be a generally true statement about people (or a generally true statement about some racial subset of people) rather than a statement about all people. This dovetails nicely with their love of billionaires due to them being “hard workers” because it shows the billionaire is somewhat unique and better than most people in that regard.
I feel like you had additional context to this question that you meant to add, but just totally forgot.
As it stands, yes of course. If your house in condemned or otherwise subject to eminent domain, if your house is seized to pay creditors for non-mortgage debt (in some states), if somebody else has superior title to your home and you aren’t protected by being a bonafide purchaser, etc.
The “magic law” is just the consequence of what it means to be the “same” person. To be the same person, you have to, among other similarities, take up the same spatial-temporal space. This is why if we ask “is Bruce Wayne the same person as Batman” one of the first thoughts is “you know, I’ve never seen them in the same room before.”
Maybe what you’re getting hung up on here is the split. Let’s imagine there is one river (river A) which goes for a bit before it forks and becomes river b and river c. In some sense, we could say that both river b and river c are river a. But if you’re river b, then river c is not the same as you, and vice versa.
God the insanity of that wealth is hard to fathom.
Nobody needs $100m, which is itself a totally insignificant amount compared to $1b… and we’re talking people with hundreds of billions :/
Hey there team members!
I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. Now that you’re back in the office, I’m sure some you are picking up on the new “buzz” around town. I bet some of you can’t even “bee-lieve” it!
Yasss queen, using some of our pizza party budget, we’ve installed all natural honey dispensers into everybody’s desk! But remember to “beehive” yourself and not take too much, so as to not upset our flying friends (Darrell, we’re all wishing you a speedy recovery!).
Anyway, that’s enough “droning” on from me.
Bee seeing you! -hr
I’ve been seeing this sort of thing in a few threads now since the federation and im a bit confused by it. Showing that China is doing similar things to the US doesn’t seem like a strong argument if the thing the US is doing (in this case indefinite detention without trial in a horrible prison) is bad. Is the idea that post-federation there’s users who don’t view the US as doing bad things?
Are people still commissioning expensive art? I would have thought AI would have eaten their lunch.
