We must be able to effectively fight it though. And blindly voting for the elite approved opposition ends in them holding the door open for fascists every time.

Ah yes, Reddit, and a Biden specific sub. The very material of unbiased analysis.
Also. You’re responding to something pre-debate. There are very definitely other options now. Run a debate series with select candidates, open a comment period with the state parties, and culminate in an open convention.
The voters could have made it clear in the primary.
It just seemed to fit so perfectly. Bluster is not going to see the Democrats through this election.
The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.
Are you voting for the guy who knows he’s giving weapons to a genocidal regime?
Are you supporting the party that’s arresting and charging peaceful protestors?
As I told someone else, this is a group project. You get the same grade as the rest of us.
You know what the real problem is? Biden reminded me and millions of other people of our frail grandparents in a stressful, scary, situation. We love them, (although I’m not a fan of Biden), but we don’t let them drive or end up in those situations.
If they stand by him while the media eviscerates him then Trump wins, full stop.
If they want to fight this off he needs to be on national TV as often as possible over the next couple weeks answering questions without scripts or prompters. It’s the only way out of this hole.
If he will not or can not do that, he must step aside.
Bush didn’t sound nearly this bad. And they also ran such a novel attack campaign it invented a new term, “swift boating”. Which is right in line with Trump’s gish gallop. Bush was also a war time president.
These situations are not analogous, the dominoes are lined up completely differently.
The court chose that narrow view. They chose to naively interpret the punishment as ending and not transitioning into new forms that can dog people the rest of their lives. It is not something they were required to do. As the dissent points out.
It’s been a group project. You get the same grade as the rest of us.
Gaza is right there and Biden just released the bombs he’s been holding back from Israel. A withholding that is proof on its own that Israel was committing war crimes with them. His own announcement on the matter said it was because large bombs cause too many civilian casualties in urban areas. Which is a specific war crime being referred to as obliquely as possible.
Then you have the Israeli government outright saying they want to clear the Palestinians out and sell the land. Which is ethnic cleansing.
And the man made famine.
How much more evidence do you need?
SCOTUS has absolutely set realist standards in the past. For example, gun regulations that are de facto bans are treated as such and declared unconstitutional.
They absolutely do not have to sit back and consign homeless people to the prison debt system while bemoaning their inability to enforce the 8th amendment.
You’d be surprised how quickly Mid West voters will forget about “California” when he announces more farming subsidies as a campaign promise.
It’s actually not a curated group, as long as you’re looking at reliable polls. In about a week a bunch of universities will release new head to head preference polling based on large diverse groups. Meanwhile we have to make do with push polls and media polls.
Shit, the 2020 debate against Trump is available and it’s Day and Night.
My God man we still have at least 4 viable alternatives from the 2020 primaries. If we’d held real primaries we could have avoided this easily.
We could have told him it was time to retire. Instead we gaslit an octogenarian into thinking he had to give up his retirement.
On average, we respond solely to voice pitch, tonality, body language and facial expressions, like a still developing toddler… Or a dog.
Welcome to leadership 101. Projecting confidence is 90 percent of getting people to listen to you. This is why Con Artists are effective and Military Leaders cultivate an air of Stoicism. If you’re lucky you find a confident person who informs their decisions with science.
It’s not about the diehard voters. It’s about the the undecided voters. Which presumes they’d be fine with either.
