  • You can just search for something like Android and it’ll show all the communities including the instance it’s on and join; you don’t need multiple logins.

The app I use, wefwef, also can view all communities in the feed along with your subscribed or just local instance communities. I’d assume liftoff is similar but I’ve never used it.

    Programming:

    • Local Gym - always the recommendation for a beginner as long as budget is not a limiting factor
    • Home/Open Gym Options
      • CrossFit Linchpin
        • The programming I follow. Run by former Navy Seal Pat Sherwood, focuses on general physical preparedness with great variety. You’ll have heavy lifting days, various metcon training, and yes you’ll run. Has a great online based community in a private Facebook group. Runs on the beyond the whiteboard software which is high quality. Workouts can be viewed for free on Instagram but the private track includes warm ups, stretching, accessory work, and tons of scaling options (including minimal or no equipment) for every workout.
      • Street Parking
        • For most, the missing piece of the fitness puzzle is consistency. We aim to help you change that. Convenience breeds consistency. The Street Parking program has been designed to provide those with limited time, space, or equipment the tools they need to make fitness a part of their daily life.

  • A possible better solution might be to allow the user to create their own group (or super community if you prefer that name) where they can group multiple communities together in a way they see fit (not just necessarily clones of the same community. Examples could be a sports group that allows you to group together communities for all the teams you follow).

This would be beneficial I feel for most users, doesn’t affect decentralization, doesn’t require a central authority and would be only relevant to each individual user and not applied to anyone else
