I think these are pretty valid concerns. I never imagined we’d need fucking sharpshooters on top of county buildings so they could count ballots safely. It does seem like some of the more contested areas are taking some precautions, I really hope we’re wrong and everything goes smoothly.

So let’s make this perfectly clear for everyone else: this person would sacrifice the rights of women/people of color/lgbtq+ people, accelerate genocide in Gaza/Ukraine/elsewhere, and completely doom any action on climate change… because they want lip service on an issue they don’t actually care about. Wonder why that is?
One of our cats HATES when my wife isn’t wearing enough clothing. I can walk around fully nude no problems. My wife wears short shorts and he will get visibly upset and start attacking her until I come defend her. If she puts on pants he goes right back to normal. Doesn’t attack people and is generally pretty chill otherwise. Our cat has the political leanings of the Taliban apparently.

I’m totally cool with rewarding people for making a bunch of money and giving it back to the people. Hell, make each prestige cooler. You find 100 billion in taxes? We’ll build you a little statue. You fund 1 trillion dollars in taxes? You get to be on a coin or some shit. Really put these greedy fucks incessant need for attention to work.
I’ll preface this by saying the 1%'s stock holdings are pretty much the last thing I’m worried about protecting. But it could be as simple as requiring your wealth to be under the limit when you file your taxes. Let’s say it’s a billion dollars (I would argue it should be much lower). If you end the year with 11 billion dollars in wealth, you owe the government 10 billion dollars. There are controls we can put in place to prevent stock manipulation, similar to the ones we have now. Just actually enforced.

Billionaires are the biggest “welfare queens” out there. Everything they have is stolen or a handout.
You haven’t been paying attention. Trump tried to implement this stuff last time and was stopped by people loyal to the Constitution. ALL of those people are gone. He is surrounded by people who WILL carry out his orders. Trump rarely learns, but he has absolutely learned a lesson when it comes to staffing.

This is a ridiculous attempt to both sides. Give us an example. What compares to “we’re going to detain and deport millions of people”?
Yeah there is no “well I’m in a blue state so I’m gonna vote 3rd party to voice my displeasure with Democrats” this time. It’s all hands on deck.
This shift is because we need the GOP to vote for anything that gets passed. They will not vote for a pathway to citizenship. They will not vote to protect DACA recipients. They will not vote to do the things that actually need to be done, that Democrats have proposed. So the only thing leftover is enforcement measures, some of which are still needed.
Doing nothing is acceptable to the GOP and they have the votes to make that happen. We need to get rid of them, that’s the solution here.

Sure, if Trump wins things will suck definitely but it’s not the end of the world. Ultimately biggest political parties serve various oligarchs so once Dems are inevitably back some years from now you’ll notice not much is changing for you personally.
