Bruges for the (somewhat cliché and touristy, but for good reason) medieval vibe. Ghent or Antwerp for hipster cities. Don’t underestimate Brussels too, it’s a bit tougher to love but there’s loads of stuff to do.
You’re welcome! Happy I shared it then
Despite loads of protest actions (including one of the largest civil disobedient actions in our country in december with Code Rouge-Rood), multiple negative opinions, a possible building infraction still tied up in court, promises since the seventies, lying in the middle of a living area, a huge financial burden and much more… they get a non-expiring (!) license.
Unfortunately, it’s the same conundrum as with the Pano report: should we expose them or not? Should we give them attention that they can use or not? Not exactly sure if there’s a good answer to that actually. The effects are a result of the way society thinks of these types: in a healthy, democratic society this wouldn’t boost his popularity, on the contrary…
I’m quite content with the verdict, especially his revocation of his civil rights, which seems apt and proportionate because of his contempt of democracy.
There’s enough posts on Lemmy to spend 4 hours a day at? Or do you just stare into the void while on Lemmy?
Niet alleen de N-VA, maar quasi alle andere centrumpartijen lopen elkaar overhoop een antwoord te bieden op de issues die VB aan draagt, terwijl ze zelf natuurlijk de agenda kan bepalen.
I don’t see why it wouldn’t fit here. There’s significant overlap between anarchism and solarpunk. Maybe there’s some other leftwing instance where this community would also fit (or maybe better), but that doesn’t matter that much due to the federated character. All this regardless of what my stance on voting is btw.
Many people have purposefully moved away from Big Tech platforms, often because they cause them harm. Who are you to judge their defederation - which is a core feature of the Fediverse btw - as laughable? Every instance is free to decide their own policies, that’s the whole point.
Last year there was something in the European quarter, I think?
Never too late to limit the impact as much as we can.
I don’t have nor do I want shares in the arms industry. I’m not a fucking ghoul.
More money for the death-machine and profits for the shareholders, hurray!
I’m afraid it’s mostly that last one.
Watch people flock to yet another corporate social media honeypot instead of going for something less dystopian.
Nope, since electricity from nuclear is not priced at its production cost. Just extra profits for Engie.
Yet another broken promise. To me, this looks more like a complete political failure then some sort of victory for the climate. And we’re going to have to pay for it through the nose.
Flemish minister Demir immediately announced she will appeal the verdict of course.
The masks are starting to fall off.
I admit I’m sharing this because I’m hyped to see the London Conference represented. Finally I’ll be able to rectify the historical injustice of losing half of Limburg to the Dutch.
