Don’t bother with him. He’s a mod for a conservative community on Lemm.ee and he wanders out of his echo chamber from time to time to waste people’s time. If you provide an article, he’ll say that’s not what he was talking about, or it doesn’t count because a court didn’t convict him of it, or you’ll be spot on and he’ll still say “What are you even talking about” because it’s not about discussion, he wants to waste your time. He thinks billionaires are paying too much in taxes. Let him wallow in his sadness. He gets shit on by his own mod-mates in his own community where he can’t score a positive comment to save his life.

Mickey7, a mod of conservativememes2 here on lemmy.world absolutely snapped a week or so ago. It would have been beautiful except he spam commented the autism community to drop the R word and posted scat porn in a technology community. One less echo chamber though.

You too can do your part to end echo chambers in Lemmy.

This is pro-republican. 14 of 27 states with republican governors have successfully pushed forward with conservative law. This is a success! You don’t get much more pro-republican than this!

Government offices should fly 2 flags: state and country. While I like the idea of a government building running a pride flag, I’m willing to give that up to never see a confederate flag fly again.

This reads as a bad faith argument that says “I’m in charge and this article I don’t agree with that’s also putting down my political opponent gets to stay up. I believe that debate about truthfulness is as important or more important than debate over agreed upon truth.” I don’t feel this article has any less bias just because it’s not from Not The Bee. It’s an obviously biased article AS YOU POINT OUT but in the name of debate it must stay. In 6 months when nobody has proven you wrong, you’ll have given further reach to an article you don’t believe in and not everyone is going to read your comment. Is the community better for it?

Then why leave up the post? It’s misleading and preying on Americans, your words. If it’s all lies, why give it a platform? If it’s mixed lies and truth, why not find a better source? Would having a discussion about lies be productive talks? Would having discussions around better sources not provide better discourse?
