@[email protected] my youngest son loves the free Astro Bot but it’s strangely not interested in getting this new sequel.
I have written for FilmStories.co.uk.
More #writing can be found at my blog with reviews of films, games, books, and other miscellanea.
There’s a 3 part series on Kevin Costner’s Waterworld, some trips down memory lane with pieces on the ZX Spectrum, VHS tapes and more.
When I’m not writing, I love watching #film, #reading or playing #games on PC, PlayStation 3, 4 or 5.
Recently self diagnosed as autistic.
I look forward to chatting with you. 😊

@[email protected] There were a few games I really enjoyed playing on the switch but I never used it as much as I hoped I would.
As you say, if you’re not into the Nintendo fan base (Mario, etc) or Japanese RPGs, it gets boring fairly quickly.
So much shovelware as well.
There were some amazing ports that I was surprised the Switch could even do such as Doom and Alien: Isolation but my grey lite spent more time in a draw than out.
@[email protected] pre-rendered backgrounds meaning the 3D power could be concentrated on the character models. Wonderful looking game that I bought pretty sharpish on release and it made me jump several times. But how on earth did we accept tank controls as normal? 😆

That was a little bit of fun!
@[email protected] Quick recap, loved 1 & 2, enjoyed the 2016 reboot and loved Afterlife.
Frozen Empire is a lot of fun but maybe leans too hard on original cast cameos. (Maybe give them a rest now, go your own way.) James Acaster is criminally under-used.
Not quite as good as Afterlife but still very enjoyable for this biased Ghostbusters fan.
It makes me laugh that I learnt where most of the film was shot but I won’t spoil anything.
@[email protected] considering the horsepower of the Wii compared to the PS3 and Xbox360, going for cartoon caricatures of the cast was a good choice and the game is no less fun to play than its big brother counterparts.
Oh hang on, just read this it’s easier… 😆

@[email protected] Yeah, scrolling through the Reddit opinions, it seems the vast majority aren’t impressed. Especially as the machine has no drive or stand included for that price.
@[email protected] "but she needs her time to rest and recuperate. Plus don’t all babies look the same really? We’ll go another time "
But I don’t think that would go down too well. 😄
@[email protected] Yeah the sequel is good but can’t quite match the original.
The third game I played a lot on PS3 but haven’t completed it. I may do at some point as I have the trilogy in my PSN library.
@[email protected] There’s something about the original Bioshock I just love. I think it’s simply the beautiful designs of the slowly rusting and leaking underwater art deco city.
We came very close to getting an R rated horror based on the game but it was cancelled just before filming was due to start.
Netflix announced a live action film a few years ago but I don’t think anything has happened since.
@[email protected] Was it not pre installed?
