3·9 days agoTo me, it never felt like Obama was truly committed. Also why promise it if you don’t know if you can actually do it or is contingent on factors outside your control?
Obama promised to close Guantanamo if elected. He noped out of it almost immediately.
6·9 days agoFuck Superman. The US just as complicit and don’t tell me this movie is some rebellious act. This is a major corporation co-opting a message to move units.

2·12 days agoI cut Netflix years ago when they started filling it with self-produced content. We don’t watch Disney or Amazon. TPB is fine but there is a lot of other Canadian content that you might not have been exposed to. There’s a ton of great Quebec cinema for instance. In fact Denis Villeneuve is one of the top director’s in the world atm.
We’re going through a backlog of asian movies at the moment. Watched a bunch of Bollywood recently and Tamil cinema. On Hong Kong cinema at the moment. Will be moving on to Korean cinema after that. We don’t watch that much so we’re set for the moment.
When all of this started it became clear that the US media, owned by billionaires/millionaires, was supressing the Canadian identity (just look at how the attacks against Canada are laughed at on Colbert/Kimmel who are supposed to be on the left). We decided to excise US media for the time being. It wasn’t difficult and we’re happier tbh
The lives that mattered (the victims’) have already been destroyed. Why are we protecting these people?
Nope. I’m listening to canadian music and watching international films these days.

Her defiant reaction to the backlash was the worst part of it. She refuses to acknowledge people’s ire. She ends up making the case that she did it for Alaskans at the expense of the rest of her country. That she knew it was wrong but didn’t mind throwing everyone else under the bus.
One of the reasons lead paint chips were frequently eaten by children was because they tasted sweet.
How do they measure the difference between partial and full meltdowns?
I had an opposite situation with Death Stranding. Was enjoying the “stealth” till suddenly had to fight Mads Mikkelsen guns blazing. The forced change in approach made me drop the game.

He hasn’t stopped with his anti-Canada rhetoric since taking office.
I don’t mean free from operating costs. I mean free for the person using it to experience it how they choose.
