From what I can tell, the core issue with YouTube music is that it is restricted to the same API end points as default YouTube. Their api for playlist management just sucks and a lot of client side caching and workarounds are required to make it at all feel okay to use.
Hmm, both? Punishing myself have me some form of satisfaction because of how much I hated myself. But I started to get in really good shape which fed into more self loathing. I thought I was fundamentally broken and being ripped but still ‘worthless’ just proved to me how broken I was.

They really do. The only place I hear anyone talk about it is LTT and only during the wan show. It’s a major reason I have premium despite being the type of person who uses GrapheneOS.
I work in tech as well, and I think the biggest reason is workplace mobility. Working at Google famously makes it easy go get a new job.

I subscribe because 55% of my premiums go to the content creators and I don’t mind paying to support them and understand that there are very real server costs.
I’m a senior dev. I can definitely afford it and want all of the content creators to be able to continue to make videos. Privacy is the only reason I’d really want to use an alternative but I’ve put a fair amount of effort into making it hard to track me across websites or devices including degoogling other than YouTube.
