Always loved the chord progressions chosen by the French electronic producers of that time (Justice, Daft Punk, DJ Falcon, Alan Braxe, Fred Falke, Cassius, etc) Familiar and at the same time new, and able to be played on loop for minutes at a time and still sound interesting. Of course most of these chord progressions were lifted from other songs. But they knew how to sample the best parts.
