Dresden Codak? Jesus. That is a comic that I haven’t thought about in so many years. Now I have to figure out where the hell I left off so I can catch up

For the Thumbs Ups! Think of how many other porters used and appreciated your highways!
I like it so that the USB C will last longer. At least in theory.
It’s more than theory in my experience. I had a OnePlus 5 and lint completely ruined the USB-C port. I could spend 10 minutes trying to dig stuff out and get the cable right for it to establish a charge before I finally gave up and upgraded. It’s why I’m not AS annoyed that the wireless charging add-on takes up the port. As long as it’s also keeping debris out of the port (and the rest of the phone continues to run well) I’ll live with it.
The phone or the OS? Hardware wise, my only gripe is the lack of wireless charging. I use an aftermarket plug to add it, but it doesn’t put the charge pad quite in the right place, so I sometimes have to put it upside down. It also means the USB-C port is always occupied. That isn’t a huge deal for me as I like to use plugs to keep dust out anyway
Software wise, I’m still running regular Android. I don’t like that there’s no Gallery app. You have to use Google Photos. That coupled with the fact that .nomedia files don’t seem to work mean that the app shows ALL photos on your phone, including some you might want to keep private.
Other than that though, I’m pretty happy with it. Just upgraded mine to 15.
I think it’s a roundabout attempt to get us to wonder what the fuck Kick is. I’m not that curious.
Yeah, I stayed with my parents for a few months while I was house hunting and being limited to Level 1 charging was challenging. I couldn’t recover a full commute’s worth of charge overnight and would start each day with progressively less charge, so I’d have to swing by a L3 charger once a week or so. Still cheaper than gas though.
My dad pays for the NFL.com package and YouTubeTV (not premium, and even more expensive package than that) so he can watch all the games. I dread every season because of the inevitable bitching about one or both services.
He has an elastic band he puts up to block the score ticker on the bottom of the screen, and he’s constantly terrified that they’ll cut away from the current game for an update on another one he hasn’t watched yet.
I feel like there’s a real market for the old Red Zone channel that DirectTV used to do. No commercials, no breaks, just snap, play until the whistle, then fast forward to the next snap. It only showed gameplay when one of the teams was in the red zone(hence the name), but I bet people like my dad would pay enough to offset the lost ad revenue if they covered the whole game like that.
It’s skip tracer Randy!
It looks like it’s done in a comic book style. Reverse image searches show some Twitter and Tumblr posts indicating it’s Kate Kane looking for Tim Drake (Batwoman and Robin from the Batman franchise), but I’m not sure if this is an actual page from the comic or just fanart.
Stein wasn’t even the only third party candidate stealing votes. I voted for Gary Johnson with the Libertarian party as a “protest vote”. Glancing at national results, he had almost three times as many votes as Stein did.
I was 100% the moron this meme is targeted towards. I voted for Harris yesterday.
I think the rest of the article is worth the read. Apatow really was dominating Hollywood for a few years there.
What, are they running down the same presidential campaign checklist as 2016 and just forgot to remove the “hush money to pornstars” line-item for this go-round? Someone call Karen MacDougal and find out if she got the same offer.
Or… mountain folk who live up in the…mountains?
In North Carolina in the US, we might have official documents calling it a Driver License, but having lived here almost my entire life, I would use “driver’s license” in casual conversation.
Now I’m wondering if there’s a supervillain fight where Spider-Man just insulted his enemy over and over until they lost all morale and gave up. Spidey’s been around long enough that I have to assume it happened at some point.
Interview starts 3 minutes in. All ads before that - including an ad for the very conversation you clicked on. Fuck iHeart.
I think the timing of both trailers is important. That DvW trailer didn’t come out until a week or two after opening. Spoilers were extremely hard to avoid online. This Agatha trailer acknowledges and expands on the reveal from last week.
Disney knows it can’t enforce spoiler warnings, you either go Internet dark to avoid spoilers, you accept them, or (ideally for them) you consume the content in a timely manner when your dollars or eyeballs are most important to their bottom line.
These trailers capitalize on the Internet discussion when the secrets are all out.
Crazy to see the N64 so far down the list. I was a Sega-, then Sony-kid but it seemed like the N64 had a better market share than the graphic would imply. Might just be confirmation bias based on my age though.
I remember when the Cyber Truck was revealed, including the whole window cracking thing there was a dip in Tesla stock, I was on Reddit the next day saying, yeah, it’s ugly as sin, but if I was the investing type, it would be a smart time to invest, because Tesla stock would bounce right back and the fanboys would drool over it.
I was right, but after all that’s happened since then, I wouldn’t be brave enough to try to call whether things will trend back upward this time.
I don’t think he’s complaining about movie trailers. He’s talking about the Coca Cola and 12 year old M&Ms advertisements that run for 10 minutes BEFORE the theater plug and trailers start.
When I went to see Deadpool and Wolverine, I think the projector fucked up and we had to watch the ad loop twice. When the movie finally started 25 minutes late, people cheered just to see the Marvel logo
