Adding to the fun - The light is still going the same speed within the medium, but it’s bumping into more things. Those collisions divert the light, lengthening the distance it travels through something like 1 cm of glass vs 1 cm in a vacuum. It changes the time it takes to travel through glass rather than the speed at which the light is moving.

At least that’s what I remember from a YouTube video.

Can you get cumin? If so, you can probably make some pretty good tacos.

Only the following 6 ingredients are required:

Tortilla

Ground meat - I recommend beef

Onion

Salt

Minced Garlic or garlic powder

Cumin powder

All other ingredients are optional

Cooking:

Chop enough onion to make a pile 1/2 the size of the meat

Cook the onion over medium heat until it starts to soften

Add a little garlic

Add the meat

Turn up the heat a little

add a little salt

Add a lot of cumin - this should be the dominant flavor

Add a little of any/all optional seasonings for depth of flavor

When the ground meat is done cooking, add more salt to taste. Be careful not to over salt it.

warm the tortillas

Add meat & any/all optional ingredients to the tortillas

Enjoy!

Optional Seasonings:

chili powder optional

A very little bit of MSG optional

Black pepper optional

Onion powder optional recommended

Optional Ingredients:

Chopped Cilantro optional

Chopped Tomato optional recommended

Sour cream optional recommended

Salty shredded cheese optional (Cheddar, Colby, Monterey Jack, Muenster, etc)

Salsa optional (should have tomato chunks and not look like marinara)

I have several throughout the house with a couple hooked up to stereo systems. It’s really nice to be able to stream music to all speakers or to specific groups of speakers like “downstairs group”.

It’s also fantastic for keeping a grocery list. You can then pull it up on the app while shopping or have it text the list to someone else. IMO it’s by far the most useful feature.

You can also use it to check in on kids at the house if they don’t have a phone. You can use the app on your phone to “drop in” on any Alexa in your house and have basically a phone call or a video call with Alexa Show devices.

I’m one of the few that loves having these devices. But as soon as Amazon tries to charge a subscription I will be looking into jailbreaking them.
