The website going down seems to be due to load (though CPU and RAM levels are fine so not sure what’s going on), I’ve updated to 0.18.3 and will keep monitoring the site

I’m using coffee link at the moment, it’s really good for the price nothing to special in terms of quality though. I usually order two 500g bags for around 22 quid which lasts a good month

I ordered an anaerobic coffee there the other day though and it was not great, not a fan of that type of coffee. Don’t know if it was just that particular bag but the smell of the anaerobic coffee is not the one (the taste was actually fine)

Haha yeh i did there was around 3k bots accounts which I found and purged hadn’t liked or subscribed to any communities and their email was a distinct pattern

Was always a lurker on Reddit, now I’m an instance admin lol so I sort of have to comment and post often.

It feels way more a community on Lemmy though so I’m much more active than I ever was on Reddit I love it!

Yeh just fixed it, I need to find a better way of updating the wefwef site as atm, every update to the instance will break the wefwef site lol. Problem for another day

Not much to be honest, it helps take the load of wefwef’s own site and this instance should be quicker as well.

Also an advantage for me is that I added a feature in wefwef so I can approve or deny registration applications but the code hasn’t been approved in the main app yet so I wanted to deploy my own version with that in it!

I’m in the process of buying a flat at the moment and the solicitors are taking their time, I can’t tell if that is just how it is or if it’s their fault to be honest. The updates we get from them sounds like they are following up enquiries from the seller’s solicitors but who knows. We were hoping to complete soon but looks like it might be another month or two before that happens.

I think for some solicitors, conveyancer is low priority as there isn’t much money involved and there is no pressure to get it done quickly, which is why it can drag on.

After a second thought, I’ll keep the blocklist free of political instances, even though most I personally disagree with. In terms of any large ones which are grey areas of legality (loli and stuff like that), yeh I’m protecting my own back by blocking them.

That does mean the blocklist is only 1 atm, I’ll keep an eye on what other big instances are blocked by other instances and keep the blocklist updated by doing that. Realistically a lot of the ones I would want to block will be so small I wouldn’t notice them so that list will be kept fairly thin I imagine. (I’m not gonna be like beehaw or even feddit.de who have fairly large blocklists)

I get the frustration of having stuff blocked which might feel restrictive, so I’ll try and keep the blocklist as small as possible but I do still think some should be blocked.
