They’re not idiots, they’re just ghouls that value their interests. It may appear short sighted, but I think the pandemic showed this too, how you can’t even use the bourgeois state to preserve capitalism because that means admitting that using the state to benefit proles was always an option, and that threatens them both short and long term.
I dunno about you guys but I’m starting to reckon we should give a little thought to alternative societal structures that might have the potential to avoid these issues…
You’re not alone. The solution is to run for office, or so I’m told. I firmly believe that anyone who does, even with good intentions, becomes corrupt eventually.
