OK, so it’s not really a hot take, but whatever liberals think they ”know” about the DPRK comes from a 2010 Top 10 Reasons North Korea Is The World’s Craziest Dictatorship article from Cracked.com or that racist song from Team America: World Police (I could go into that movie too, but this thread isn’t about it). They seriously think the DPRK is a hivemind who believe Kim Jong-Il hit 18 hole in ones (lol I almost wrote home runs, should’ve honestly just left it) the first time he went golfing.

Really, even if everyone in the DPRK believed that, would it be any worse than every burgerlander thinking the slave owning founding fathers loved Democracy and Freedom?

Not directly responding to OP, but for those who can still see that instance, it’s wild how .world in particular doesn’t even realize they’re being racist. Every single post about anything positive a country like North Korea, China, or Russia has ever done gets you labeled a shill. Even if posted by another random .worlder with an otherwise ‘normal’ post history. As if China especially doesn’t have thousands of years of cool history to draw from.

The implication is always that you’re a government spy, but what if I was literally just a Chinese or Russian person wanting to share something cool about what my family, friends or coworkers are doing in a certain industry? Silencing their made up version of a ‘tankie’ silences all people of that nation by extension, who are never allowed to express joy or enthusiasm for their culture or accomplishments. Which also contradicts their “but I only hate the government, not the people” line.

They expect all non-Euro Americans must now put a disclaimer in their post saying they condemn the actions of their government throughout history and into the future henceforth otherwise their post is invalid.

I’m just venting, but it’s a disgusting pattern that is worse here than it ever was on Reddit because of people’s perceptions of the hexbear and grad boogeymen.
