Biden’s approval rating was now 37% in favor and 60% disapproved, Kornacki noted.

It’s “the lowest approval rating since former President George W. Bush’s second term,” said Welker.

On voters’ confidence in handling the U.S. economy, Kornecki pointed to Trump’s 55% rating and Biden’s 33%.

Yeah. Realistically at this point, the national elections are going to be whoever the party generally wants.

Is Biden exciting? Nah. Did he push boundaries as much as I’d hoped for? Nope. Do I really like that I’m voting for Biden vs. someone like Warren? Nope…

But there were a few wins with the combination of the Biden administration and the Dems:

    • We got effectively a “Green New Deal lite” with the “Inflation Reduction Act”.

    • There are some attempts at zeroing out some student debt that are going under the radar.

    • The NLRB has tracked back in the direction of workers rights.

    • Managed to skip past a recession, even if cost of goods went up, etc. (IMO paying more for certain goods FAR outweighs extended unemployment)

I was expecting nothing more than a “hold us over to get us past Trump”, so I’m generally satisfied.

At this point, anyone complaining about the options for president should stop complaining online and start petitioning their state government to adopt some alternative voting scheme that isn’t FPTP, especially for during the primaries.
