    The year is 2050.

China pressed the communism button a decade ago, and everything China has done has gone right with no complications. Socially, all groups are completely equal with the strongest civil rights legislation on earth, citizens enjoy the most civil liberties of anyone in the world, and labor rights are held sacrosanct.

As you’re headed to Shenzhen to meet up with some friends from the townhouse you own in Shanghai, you pull up an article from an American pundit.

“China has become the new land of the free and brought humanity world peace, bringing in a new dark age for investors everywhere.”

You laugh as you read the article lamenting that not only has shareholder value been in the toilet, but they call citizens like you “oppressed” because your new home has outlawed speculating on food or housing, and you cannot join any hate groups.
