Unfortunately too many Americans either pay no attention to our political system, are misled enough on its operations, or are too complacent or depressed to care.

You want to blame the least powerful people in society for not ing hard enough, instead of looking first at the most obvious thing we should consider - how all resources are extracted, produced, and distributed in society and what that means for evetything else
