Very happy that the links are clickable now on Sync.
The Sync dev has mentioned that the ‘clickable link’ problem has been resolved, and will be part of their next app release.
The
lemmyf.uk
communities have re-instated their NSFW tags, just in time for the crawler to notice, so they’ve disappeared from this list now, and will be back in their rightful place from tomorrow.I need to shut up about how much
moviesandtv@lemmy.film
annoys me. But you can treat it as a sort of canary if you like. I don’t know how much these lists send subscribers to Communities, but if it’s promoted that Community at all, then that would be the opposite of my personal intention. Basically, its appearance here proves that the list is entirely data-driven by an indifferent bot, and I don’t interfere. The novelty of
lemmy.world
not appearing is starting to wear off (I think fixing their API issues would help them distinguish between intentional attackers and unintentional ones, but maybe not).
I wondered if they’d be replaced byhexbear.net
ones, but they’re currently in the position some new communities found themselves in: their main growth was during the period that the bot was gathering data, and has tailed off now that it actually has enough.Anyway, good to see ‘2023 World Cup’ make an appearance (even though the tournament itself is nearly over).
I’ve subbed to ‘Curated Tumblr’, but the recent posts from ‘Waveform’ are about how the Instance is shutting down, so I probably won’t bother subbing to that one.Confirmed working links in sync … woo hoo
Just updated Sync and can confirm the links are working now.
Do you have any news about lemmy.world updating their API?
Great news about Sync. I checked before I posted, but the update hadn’t come through then, but it has now.
I don’t even know who I’d ask about lemmy.world’s API. Or, more the point, I don’t know who I’d ask who wouldn’t just try and gaslight me about it.
I’ll ask about it in a community, I can ping you
Please do.
I’ve gotten a good impression about the admin team at lemmy.world but I’m not sure who to reach out to (or where). I assume Ruud gets too many messages. Maybe a post on the official !lemmyworld@lemmy.world community?
Your bot and this community is a great service to the Lemmy ecosystem so I’m sure they’d be receptive.
I posted in !support@lemmy.world already
Hmm, that Community is for Mods only, unfortunately.
The dev at lemmyverse.net has been in touch with the admins, and I saw a random post in support that said they’re aware of the issue, so I’m reluctant to be a nag about it. Also, it can feel a bit awkward putting the case for my own Community forward, so I’m hoping I can leave it for others (I’ll see if Blaze has any luck)
