I’ve been having an itch for Disco Elysium recently, but this time I was also wondering: what did other people think of it?
Was there any Youtube or possibly streamed playthrough you enjoyed watching? Did any communist theoryhead play the game for an audience? Any unique points of view?

Ranged Touch did a playthrough/discussion on their Mages and Murderdads series. They’re mostly focused on the CRPG aspects of it (since before they played BG 1&2, Planescape: Torment, and Torment: Tides of Numenera), but I think Cameron Kunzelman is generally interesting to listen to. It’s also available as a podcast if that medium is more convenient for you.
They weren’t super hot on it I believe? Maybe I’m misremembering, I should relisten
I can’t quite remember either. They at least liked it enough to play the whole game (instead of dropping it - like with Tides of Numenera).

I’ve had fun watching https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLL2JMDyz67wQviJEuyXYCSmad7Osxg54O There’s three folks doing voices. It’s a good time
I haven’t watched any full playthroughs, but I watched highlights of streamed playthroughs by Joseph Anderson and WoolieVersus (two links there). They’re both libs at best (Joseph’s reaction after finishing the game was “actually Disco is making fun of everyone equally”, Woolie mentions “tankies” during the initial communism thought dialogue) but it was good slop for while I ate lunch at work.
