I don’t know, but Tony Schiavone looked absolutely disappointed in what happened, I think that was the first time he questioned his choices since joining AEW.

Really looking at the vid in the context of the story I like it. The Bucks only lost because of this stupid petty shit from FTRs bestie who obviously wanted out

FTR then counters with an actual EVP response that they just want to focus on wrestling and people who actually support AEW

You think Brodie wears one of those shirts that are basically a onesie? How does it not come untucked?

The look on Tony’s face says it all, he looks like he’s done and just wants to go home, indefinitely.

He has been very open about wanting to move on from this, then they air it, and the AEW crowd begins chanting for CM Punk, it doesn’t appear to have done anything for them, I guess we’ll see when the ratings come out.

My knee-jerk reaction was he was having WCW flashbacks of some of their crazy actions.

I like the shithead story the Bucks crafted around it. The IWC is just so toxic.

The Punk apologists think this makes him like great by bullying Jack who really didn’t look aggressive

The AEW fans want to move on because the discourse is against them and everything will be used against

Growing up WWE/WCW did so much worse to each other and so many things just stayed as lore we heard 10 different viewpoints in shoots

It’s new and it’s interesting that everyone hates that TK was just like fuck it, this shit has been dragging on for 8 months and it honestly just becomes a fallback way to shit on the company. So screw it, show the footage, try to get some storyline heat from it , eat shit for a few weeks and move on finally

I just want to be on record, I like Perry being in Japan and crafting his scapegoat gimmick, I very much believe he needed a character that wasn’t Jungle Boy. From what I’ve seen this scapegoat stuff has been good. I don’t care for the Bucks, but yes the story of them leaning into being EVP assholes is right up my alley and I enjoyed that aspect of it.

I think TK’s too happy playing EWR in real life, I feel like one of the biggest critics of him, I think he’s Vince Russo and Dixie Carter bad a lot of the time with his antics. Though I do see your point. Had that video been shown when Tony came out and said I had to fire Phil Brooks, they would have come out of this much better, but they wouldn’t have been able to use it in a story.

If they eat shit and everything moves on, that’s great, let us never hear of CM Punk in AEW again, no more alluding to it, to use D.A.R.E. as an example… Just Say No to Punk!

I still don’t think it was that big of a deal, this happens in sports, but I fully side with TK firing Punk, it’s his company and if one person steps out of line, that’s his right, especially with Punk angrily getting in his face, I just wish he would have stepped in before they got here.

Lol yeah most of TKs missteps seems like a rich kid with an empathy gap who wasn’t exposed to much. He’s also an irl shitposter so he has a tendency to get tilted and respond in uncommon ways to things

I saw SRS basically encapsulate it perfectly that a portion of detractors just want AEW to do things the way they want.

I think the 20 years of WWE running unopposed did alot of damage to what wrestling is/supposed to be and social media doesn’t help

I just appreciate that we have a viable alternative and competition and TK gets alot of shit for not being WWE lite and having the same goals as them

Yes! This is carny as fuck!

Quoting Punk’s “If you have a problem with Jack Perry you have a problem” is fantastic

Shibata just having a prerecorded soundboard of responses for any conversational topic is something that still pops me.
