JD Vance graduated from Yale Law School in 2013. On Sunday, a photo of him in drag while attending the law school surfaced. The photo was initially shared by activist Matt Bernstein on social media. After the photo went viral, Travis Whitfill, an Assistant Professor Adjunct in Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine, claimed he was the source of the photo., US News News - Times Now
And I am ONLY proclaiming it when they start yelling at me. Take a look and the threads of people yelling at me.
On Lemmy? The biggest democrat echo chamber outside of Reddit. I can give my opinion. And you can ignore it. I’m not “influencing” anyone.
Then get a stronger candidate. I’m voting for who I want to because I want to. Regardless of how much Lemmy gets mad and tries to bully me. :)
People are yelling at you, that I’m not disputing. However…
Here is a top-level comment where you’re proclaiming voting third-party. Here is a post on the main politics sub promoting Jill Stein.
That’s not how social media works. If seeing opinions online couldn’t influence anyone Russia wouldn’t invest in bot and troll farms - but it can and they do.
This is not answering my argument. In fact, the silent implication of that statement essentially admits my point. Spelling it out: “get a better candidate [if you want to be less susceptible to my influence on voters opinions.]” This attempt to influence voters opinions is what people are upset by.
That wasn’t “promoting” Jill Stein. I said “3rd party” AND I said it so that I could avoid everyone calling me a MAGA Trumper. Which totally didn’t work, by the way.
That IS how social media works. So is everything you typing meant to “influence” me? Are you trying to “influence” me right now?! lol
This is Lemmy. A very HUGE echo chamber for the democrats. I am not “influencing” anyone in this thread or any others.
And I stand by everything I said.
This again does not answer anything of what I said, instead deflecting by pointing to the end result (“everyone here is a huge democrat anyway, nobody is going to be swayed by my attempts”) instead of accepting it’s the attempts that rubs people the wrong way.
Yes! Obviously! I’m not trying to influence your vote, however. I’m trying to possibly influence your understanding of why and how you keep ending up in conflict with others here. Because judging by your many decries of being treated poorly you don’t enjoy it.
Well I have to be honest and say that I very much disagree with the ways you have been trying to “influence” my thinking. You have belittled me more than once. And you implied I was a troll, in this thread and in a Fedivers thread! Like seriously?! lol
I think the reason people jump to the conclusion that you’re a troll is that you’re promoting a heavily unpopular candidate [1] that additionally is a third party candidate in a two-party FPTP system. You then act hurt and surprised when you get forceful pushback.

If she is so “heavily unpopular” then Democrats have no reason to be angry about her or worry about her. Right? I mean, would people be soooo mad if she were as unpopular as you are saying?
OH! You mean unpopular in THIS community.
I’m not hurt and definitely not surprised.
But the name of this community is “politics.” That doesn’t mean ONLY pro-Harris/pro-Democrat articles comments are allowed.
Surely you agree that diverse opinions should be welcomed here, right? I mean, they are NOT welcomed, but they should be.
This sub isn’t called “OnlyDemocratSupportersCanPostPoltics,” right?
So pushback and disagreeing is fine.
But calling me a troll, a Russian plant, a Russian stooge, an asshole that “wants people to DIE!” etc is uncalled for.
And many of the comments have been removed by mods, for being uncivil. You can check the modlog and see.
Elections have been won and lost on the margins of a few tens of thousands of votes. You know this.
I cited general favorability ratings from realclearpolling in my reply, here is the link again if you somehow missed it.
The rest of the post is just once again ignoring any points I’ve made and attempting to restart the argument. I guess you just really enjoy arguing.
But if she is so “heavily unpopular” then she wouldn’t have enough votes to even come close to changing thing. I mean, she’s so “heavily unpopular” and all.
I’m voting for who I want to vote for. That’s my right as an American citizen. Even if you don’t like it. That’s democracy.
