Yep, that’s what I meant, lol. Thanks for the clarification.

I had that one originally but figured the Reuters one would be more accessible (but failed to read through the Reuters one to confirm it was talking about the same “leave”. 🤦🏻‍♂️)

Updated the link in my earlier comment.

I doubt the Secret Service would let him leave, and Trump likely still has some form of diplomatic passport, which would be extremely difficult for a judge to simply take away.

However, you can bet that his comments will be a factor in next month’s sentencing, and maybe tip the scales toward jail time. The most likely sentence is probation, but if he is openly saying he’s gonna skip the country, that may cause the judge to doubt whether Trump will make it to all of his meetings with his probation officer.

        Remember this?

Joe Biden is expected to receive Secret Service protection with a new team that is more familiar to him and replacing some agents amid concerns that they may be politically allied with Donald Trump.

        Or this?

“The Department notified us that many U.S. Secret Service (USSS) text messages from January 5 and 6, 2021, were erased as part of a device-replacement program,” Inspector General Joseph Cuffari wrote to top members of congressional Homeland Security committees. “The USSS erased those messages after OIG requested records of electronic communications from the USSS, as part of our evaluation of the events at the Capitol on January 6.”

Agents assigned to Biden were replaced because of questionable loyalty and the USSS actually destroyed evidence after the OIG requested the records for their Jan-6 investigation. It appears that MAGA has penetrated frighteningly far into the Secret Service. What do you think the odds are that any of agents assigned to protect Trump aren’t absolute MAGA zealots?

I don’t know where that shit comes from.

SS doesn’t have a say in shit. They can recommend things and most rational people would go along with it, but an ex president can do whatever they want and the SS has to follow along.

trump could get on a private plane, refuse to let SS on, and just fly to Russia. Hell, he can let them on and still do it. It’s not like SS is going to take over a fucking plane.

Not only that but a target for kidnapping and torture for classified information by a foreign power.

And we all know he would give it up freely if there was a physical threat. He already gave it up to Saudi Arabia to the tune of 2 billion dollars.

He is a treasonous piece of shit.

What they should and what they will being entirely separate of course, but I agree they should take it away irrespective of if he keeps his diplomatic and etc. It would be a good sign of not being above the law, like he’s trying to be.

He does have a sentencing hearing coming up next month, and saying shit like this is exactly what you say when you want the judge to throw the book at you and make sure you do some jail time.

If he goes to jail, he would be going to a solitary wing at Rikers, because that would be the only place where his personal security would be guaranteed. Who would he dictate his book to, the rats?

And have it published with a block white text on a solid red cover. You know, to appeal to his readers who’ve been preconditioned via the red MAGA hats.

N Korea. Don’t you remember all those lovely letters between him and Kim? If he goes to Russia he has to live in Putin’s shadow, but in N Korea he can have his bromance and live like a king.

Until he gets on Kim’s nerves anyway.

And guess what role model also said they planned to flee to Venezuela if they lost the war with Ukraine, Putin. The fun part was that he had to still attack Venezuela as it’s part of his fake immigration story, but it would magically be better than the US by the time he lost.

As much as I would love for this to happen, this writer is fabricating what Trump said.

Most of the context is left out but the clips starts with how crime rates around the world are dropping. He’s saying it would be far safer to meet in Venezuela because the US would be a horror show if Kamala wins the election.

In this short clip, he’s commenting about crime in the US compared to Venezuela.

Nothing about him “fleeing the country” because he loses the election.

    Edit:
We have a former president verifiably lying practically every time he opens his mouth while his followers continue to trust him over all else. Meanwhile, we have the vast majority of the public accepting misleading click/rage-bait headlines as facts because it makes them feel a certain way. In both accounts, false or misleading information is spread within the group to enforce an idea not based in reality.
It’s the pot calling the kettle black.
Trump is a brand. He profits by keeping people engaged - exactly as today’s media does. Please, dear world, read more than a headline before you promote content. Always question the validity of a story even when, especially when, it seems too good to be true.

Yes, he would meet in Venezuela because Harris will ruin the United States, definitely not because he will end up in jail in the U.S. if he doesn’t control the Department of Justice. Totally not because Venezuela regularly refuses extradition requests.

You’re totally right, he definitely didn’t say he would specifically flee the country because he lost the election and would be in legal jeopardy.

The media today is an absolute circus, because they get more clicks by causing people to be outraged. The way they do that is by twisting the truth until there’s no truth out there any more. It’s really fucking sad.

He said that during a conference call that he could do from anywhere, but suggests the next meeting take place in another country instead of calling from his house again?

You already admit he’s lying constantly, so why draw the line that he didn’t say the words ‘flee the country because he loses’ specifically and only mentioned a plan to leave the country if he loses? Seems weird.

Another great reason to vote Harris.

(I don’t believe him anyway, he said if he lost to Joe you’d never “hear from him again” and yet here we are…nobody holds this asshole to any of his statements.)
