      @[email protected] The experiences described in this article are well known to the parents of children born with brain disorders that come with behavioral symptoms. It is hard for me to not react with vitriol to the stories of what these children endure at the hands of willfully ignorant adults.

      This school is either in Sing Sing, or it needs a whole new administration. Calling police every other day to deal with errant students is militarizing the school, costing taxpayers a bundle, and running away from the job of being educators. Btw, it’s terrible for students.

    @[email protected] Okay, I don’t know exactly what was happening in those specific situations, but it seems to me like “noncompliance,” disruption,” & “inappropriate language” are things to be reasonably expected of many kids in most high school classrooms; & hardly something a trained & competent teacher should need or want to call the cops over.
